Greek Folk Dancing
& Live Music
Although folk songs and dances have been passed down through generations, they are a “living” art and are still performed at weddings, baptisms and other social gatherings. Folk dancing for Greeks is truly an expression of everyday life and each dance has a story.
Our live authentic Greek band this year is the Marinos Loumis Band.

Agora
In Ancient Greece, the Agora (Greek Marketplace) was the center of daily life. It was a place to work, trade goods, meet friends, and conduct business deals. This year, our Festival's Agora will be both indoors and outdoors, and include, not only wares from Greece and the Holy Land, but will also showcase many local Asheville vendors!
